✨ What This Promise Covers
We built Coom to hold all your most special, silly, private little moments: the half-formed idea you catch on a walk, the doodle you snap in a meeting, the inside joke you dictate before you forget it, the quiet goal you write down for yourself. This promise explains exactly how we protect every single one of those moments, and what we do (and never do) with your information.
🙅♀️ Things We Will *Never* Collect
- We will never collect, upload, or access any of the content you save in Coom: all voice notes, photos, typed notes, to-do lists, rants, love letters and random brainwaves live only on your device by default. We have no way to see, read, or share your personal content, ever.
- We will never ask you to create an account, share your phone number, email address, or any personal identifying information to use core Coom features. You get full access to quick capture, smart categorization and the Spark feature the second you open the app, no sign-up required.
- We will never track your activity inside the app for advertising purposes. There are no hidden trackers scraping your content to serve you targeted ads, period.
- The Spark random review feature runs 100% locally on your device: we never send your past entries to our servers to generate those sweet little blasts from the past.
📊 The *Only* Data We Might Collect (If You Choose)
- If you opt in to anonymous crash and performance reporting, we may receive completely de-identified data about app bugs or slow load times. This data never includes any of your content, and only helps us make Coom run smoother for everyone.
- If you choose to email us directly with feedback, bug reports, or feature requests, we will only keep the contact information you voluntarily share with us, for the sole purpose of replying to your message. We will never add you to a mailing list or share your contact details with any third party.
🎮 You Have Full Control Over Everything
- You can turn off anonymous performance reporting at any time in your app settings, with zero impact on your Coom experience.
- You can edit, delete, export, or permanently erase all of your Coom content whenever you want, right from the app. Once you delete content from your device, it is gone forever - we have no backup copies.
- You can turn off the Spark feature, adjust categorization preferences, and customize every part of the app to work exactly how you want, no restrictions.
- Since all your content is stored locally, you are in full control of your backups: you can export your entire Coom library at any time to save to your cloud storage of choice.
🤝 A Few Extra Notes
- If you choose to share your Coom content with third-party apps or services, their privacy rules will apply to that shared content. We have no control over how other platforms handle information you share with them.
- We will never sell any data (anonymous or otherwise) to third parties for any reason. Our only priority is making Coom a safe, reliable tool for you to save your special moments.
- If we ever update this privacy promise, we will post a clear, prominent notification in the app before any changes take effect, so you always know exactly what's changing. We will never make changes to our privacy rules without letting you know first.
